So I’m on week 5, and next run is 20 mins non stop. I’ve only run 8 mins solid so far. How did others find this jump and did you feel anxious at the thought of more than doubling run time between only 2 runs in the same week?

I think it works best if you think about total running time. You've done 16 minutes of running plus 5 minutes of walking, so you're only adding 4 minutes of running and you'll actually be moving for a minute less. Take it steady and I think you'll surprise yourself as I did.
W5R3 was my favourite run so far - I know it seems a big leap, but knowing you have to run for 20 mins gives you mental 'permission' to go as slow as you can, which means that the run is comfortable. The rush you get on finishing it is immense. You can do it, and you will enjoy it!
Thank you, you’ve managed to make it sound like a positive challenge. I’m all too quick to only ever see how hard something will be. I have chronic fatigue and this is part of my graded approach to improving my strength and fitness so I’m determined to keep going.
I think everyone has felt the same about the dreaded 20min run 😄 I felt the same but yesterday I done it and tbh it wasnt that bad, def not like I imagined it in my head. The first 5min flew past then is just a matter of getting comfortable settling down and enjoying the scenery and guess what you'll do it. After you'll think what was I worried about 👍
Congratulations! So jelly that you are well and doing it! W5 seems to be my Nemesis I injured my hamstrings by (probably) going for W5 R2 when I wasn't feeling at my 100% so now I'll have to rest and wait until I get better. I can't wait to nail this week!
You can do it, go for it!!
So I did it!!
My calves hurt throughout my runs. I stretch but still they hurt. Any advice? Ice?
