I thought I would share an amusing chat I had with my husband this morning. I graduated from C25k 7 weeks ago and have continued to run. I LOVE it now!! My husband thought he would also give it a go and is on week 3. He hasn’t taken much notice of how long I run for up till now. This was the conversation:
Just off for my run
How long?
About 55 mins, doing 8k today.
How much of that is walking?
None
Are you joking? Running non stop for 55 minutes?
Not joking, no.
I found 3 mins running tough less than 2 months ago but somehow I managed each run. For the record I am an average 55 year old woman so don’t give up, keep at it and you will amaze yourself at your progress!! Oh and you WILL start to love it!!! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️

I bet you loved saying that to him in a casual manner, it’s nice that he’s doing it and realising how hard you’ve worked to attain the level of stamina and fitness you now have, well done AlysP 👍
Ha ha thanks- yes he is realising now how hard it is!!! I don’t think anyone can understand how much effort it takes unless they actually do it themselves. 😀😀
That’s true, I’m still amazed how far I can run, still can’t quite believe it and still get a kick out of it. I remember telling people in work and some saying....oh you go running? And I’d reply yeah, started beginning of this year I go out 3 times a week, did 5k this morning at 6....all nonchalant kind of 😂
Oh i giggled so much when i read this!..... I wish you had taken a picture of his face when you said that to him!..... I bet it was such a surprise.
In fact I'm still giggling now!....
All this time you've been going for runs and he's sat there oblivious of the progress you've made!... and he's now thinking... Wow!.... she's done so well....
Tee hee!! I might go with him when he does his first continuous run just so I can gallop ahead and then tell him to hurry up😂😂or would that be cruel?!!!
