I failed week 5 run 3 on Tuesday . I did 17 mins , but my lungs , stamina and ankle injury from before my op all worked against me . I'd planned another attempt today but life intervened . I really really want to do this , I did it before - pre ankle fracture, I know I can and I know it's actually easier than some of weeks 3 and 4 runs . I've never run with music , but feel it's time to try . Tomorrow it is! Any tips, advice , playlist ideas gratefully received x

Good luck for your run 3 of week 5 tomorrow, your playlist must be made up of your FAVOURITE music to run to which should be upbeat tunes, not a lot of ballads and relaxing chill out music.
Thank you so much . It's the mental effort at this stage really. I left it a week unfortunately... due to other commitments and being a wuss too. Repeated week 5 run 1 Tuesday 28 July and made myself do run 2 last night. I ended up doing 2 X 4 mins before I did 8 mins straight off , then another 4 mins before I managed the 8 mins . Do you think I should repeat again or just try for run 3 tomorrow?

Slow down a bit more, pick tunes that you like, turn them up, zone out and don't think too much about it!
