I used to get really nervous about the times increasing- especially when it got to 5 minutes! I can assure that it’s nothing to worry about though😊 As the runs get longer try running slower- you can work on your speed one you’ve completed the programme. Once I mastered my pace, the runs became easier, more enjoyable and rather then getting nervous about starting a new week I would actually look forward to it!

Good luck with week 3, I look forward to hearing how it goes!!😊

Thank you! I feel sometimes like im just plodding rather than a jog/run! X

I track my runs on strava and have noticed that my pace is really improving recently, I haven’t been purposely trying to run any faster it seems as though it’s just happening naturally now the more I run! When the runs started getting longer I would purposely run at a very slow pace so that I could last the full run and build up my endurance. I’m on week 8 now and still keep it slow and steady😊 X

Congratulations on starting C25K and completing weeks 1 and 2, I will say now that there is a increase in all the runs on a weekly basis, however, if you feel very nervous on how much the increase is the best advice is NOT to look ahead at future weeks or runs, wait for the instructions from your coach before you run, that way you won't feel so nervous and worried about your running, onwards and upwards to week 3.

Totally agree! If I looked ahead at what was to come (just completed W4 R2), I know I would quit. Take each week as it comes, and I have found that slowing down (on advice from others in the forum) on the longer runs when it gets a bit much REALLY helps. Don't worry about plodding along, there are more of us around than you think!

It does build up between week 2 and 3 but I think you will surprise yourself by how much the previous weeks have prepared you.

Hi there MrsLunnx :)

I really know that feeling. Every week I would look at the following week with apprehension. But it always turned out to be OK and perfectly do-able (although I'm not saying it wasn't hard, sometimes).

Don't look any further than the coming week to avoid discouragement and you'll be fine. The coaching is fantastic. I almost always found day 2 was the worst of the week.

If you are really tired, you can always repeat a day or even a week.

And you'll get there, like I did. Keep it up and don't ever lose determination.

Don’t overthink it is my advice to you....go out there with a clear mind and a determination to complete it, knowing how great you’ll feel afterwards......Good Luck 👍

I regularly have 4 days off, I can be lazy lol! I haven’t struggled but if you do, just do what you can and repeat a run if you need to 😊
