Weyhey... completed w9r1! Probably my best, least exhausting, run yet. Felt really good pretty much all the way... with only the usual hiccup at about 20 minutes when my breathing gets all, well, out of breathy. Managed to tame it thought, which is in itself a massive improvement, and then jiggle along quite happily until the end. So all good today, albeit still very, very slow. Lets hope then next two (final!!!) runs are as good. π
Nearly at the end of the beginning: Weyhey... - Couch to 5K
Nearly at the end of the beginning
Yeyyyy!
Well done fellow week 9 person! ππ½ββοΈπππ
Sounds like you had an enjoyable run!
I want to say Iβm feeling a bit sad... but itβs not sad exactly... youβre the writer ... put it into words for me...
Iβm coming to then end of the programme and I want to succeed but I donβt want it to end.... and thatβs silly because itβs the start of something fab!... Iβm embedding this as a way of life now ..
Anyway fantastic! ππ
Run 2 here we come x
Not my finest work.... (gave you an extra day to complete too - couldn't think of another rhyme... π€£π€£π€£
Tiny Tears legs used to sap
and her hair used to constantly flap
she went from couch to 5k
In nine weeks and a day
But now has a crush on the app
boom boom...!!
Oh wow!...love this!..... Thanks so much! It's brilliant!
Plattszo have you seen this?.... How fab!
We are running Friday 9am UK time... with MccHa who is in Singapore and running the same time as us... (4pm his time).... It would be fab if you could join....
well... I wouldn't say brilliant.... π€£π€£π€£ What a lovely idea to run at the same time. I usually run a bit later than that, but I'll give it a go... if not, I'll definitely be thinking of you. x (mind you, w9r2 was an absolute stinker... I had to stop a couple of times and regroup for a minute...bleurgh.. very disappointing after Mondays fab run βΉ )
I had a tough outing run 2 (and run 1)
Definitely feels wk 9 is mental challenge for me (dβohh back there again! π€£)
Would love you to join us!

Well done - nearly there now. Keep on!!
'The end of the beginning' - how wonderfully put.
Do you mind if I steal that with pride and use here frequently?
Fantastic, that must be a fab feeling πͺπ» please may I ask how you control it when you get out of breathy? Happens to me too and then seems to settle but my head goes oh bleep and I worry I will stay like it, is there a technique or just going a bit slower or just keeping calm? Thanks!
ick, it's horrible isn't it. Tbh in the first few weeks I got quite panicky about it, which, of course, made it worse. Now I'm getting a little bit better (only a little, mind) at being able to slow it down, generally by telling myself to calm down..I'm only walking a bit faster than usual (I lie to myself... what can I say!) and take some deeper breaths - I couldn't do that at all at first though, so guess it shows improvement in my lung capacity if nothing else. Stay calm, be kind to yourself and slow down if you need to. x
