Feeling so not like a runner

I’ve just completed W5 R1 after the 3rd attempt. Felt such a failure so have resorted back to running on the treadmill again. But after eventually completing it I’m hoping my confidence will come back and I’ll venture out again. Still don’t imagine I’ll be completing week 5 for a while yet 🥵 x

You are not a failure, you have already completed 4 weeks, that is a fantastic achievement and you should celebrate having got this far. You can repeat any run as many times as you need to, the fact you try again and again is testament to your hard work and perseverance! Well done you!! 👏👏

Want to hear something?... I’m about to embark on week 9 and I’m slow so can relate to your feeling like you do

BUT

We ARE running! I’m a runner and so are you!

Are we going to be worrying Mo Farah?... not just yet 🤣

You are on week 5!... think of how far you have come! 👏👏👏 Be nice to yourself! You are lapping many others who don’t even have the drive to start this and are sat at home so thumbs up to you 👍 you are doing so well!!

The support on here will get you through- it’s a fantastic group of people who all share the same goal.

I’m as chuffed reading about someone else completing their runs as I am about me completing mine

Get your bottom out there and be VERY PROUD about what you’re doing 👏👏👏

Thankyou think I’d be more motivated with a running partner who is as slow as me. But mentally I think sometimes you just need to do it yourself and not have too much competition. Thanks again x

Enjoy and embrace the fact you run alone...

it’s your own individual journey and the weeks and runs can be repeated as often as is needed.. there is no competition...

everyone is slow...

I thought I ran slow and then I found an even slower slow... not sure if anybody has told you but if you google Japanese jogging ... I had never heard of it... but it confirmed I was going... wait for it... too fast! 🏃🏽‍♀️🤣

This programme is magical - I know that from thinking back to myself at week 1...

Have faith in the programme.. You are doing this and you will succeed!

Week 5.. you are already half way 👏👏

Congratulations on your run! You’re certainly not a failure and you’re more than half way through the program. That’s a great achievement🙂👍

Just take your time and don’t worry about how long things take. You’ll get there in the end. This is about you and nobody else. Best of luck, everyone here’s rooting for you!😀

Keep at it, there are no failures here. Every time you get out there you are doing something positive, you could be sitting on the sofa having a bar of chocolate, be kinder to yourself. Make sure you have had plenty to drink the day before, take it really slowly, don't listen to the voice telling you you can't and maybe try some music as you run? Good luck🍀🏃
