Finally a Runner?

So - after an incognito start in October, various interruptions with illness and not enough strength to increase distance, I finally ran my first full, uninterrupted 5K at Parkrun yesterday! It feels like such a huge achievement for the asthmatic kid who couldn’t run until a change of meds in middle age finally opened the door. My time was 42:12 so still not in the 30 minute range, but I’ll take it and finally feel like a runner. Thanks to the Parkrunner that ran with me yesterday and got me through it with no breaks and chatting all the way, and to all of you for your support and encouragement. Now to go back to the app and finally graduate!

Will do! Was just struggling to do the 20+ times without intervals. Shins were playing up so I was playing it safe. Foam rolling and compression sleeves have helped, as has a few more weeks. Going to go back to week six and finish this!
