5.5km, firsr run after Graduation completed!

First run after graduation, managed the 5k, actually did 5.5km ,34mins 30. Thought my watch would remind me when I passed 5km but it didn't so I kept running!! Thought this morning was going to be a disaster, first my iPod was flat, then my phone went on the blink, and i only have a Fitbit so not a proper running watch, so never have a clue how long I've been running for. Can't quite get how to pace myself yet. Without a proper watch, is there a way or do I need to buy a Garmin or something like that???

Congratulations on completing your first 5k in just under 35 minutes, sub 35 minutes is always a good time for a first 5K run, not sure about paceing but I don't use at watch, instead Mapmyrun tells me my pace when running.
