So I DID it! πŸŽ‰ πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ†πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ“πŸŽ‰

It wasn’t my easiest run for a couple of reasons!

1 ~ it was blowing a gale!

2 ~ I went with my husband who is a seasoned runner.... I was doing ok at 30 minutes and was just under half a km under 5 K and he suggested I carry on.

So I graduated C25k AND run my first 5K in 34 minutes ! So actually ran an extra 4 minutes!

If you are just starting out keep going! You CAN and will do it! I remember being daunted running for 5 minutes without a little walk.

Trust in YOU. BELIEVE in the plan!

I am so hooked and I can’t wait to start consolidating which I’m sticking to 30 minute runs until that becomes more comfortable and then who knows!

Thanks to everyone for there kind words and support through this! This woman can! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ƒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ†πŸŽ“

Well doneBowlingT. I want to follow in your footsteps. W9R3 today so will run after work this evening.........then my birthday on Weds and my 'runner husband' wants to take me out to do my 1st 5k. Argghhhh....he's way too experienced for me!!! Every run I'm nervous that I won't complete - but your post has inspired me......I'm gonna try for 5k on Weds, then join you all in the Consolidation Club!

Congratulations and well done on a great a achievement. I’m about to start week 8 and it’s posts like this that prove it’s possible that have been a big boost to me. So thanks too. I’m nowhere near 5k and think it will be some time before I get there but don’t care- who knew I could run for 25mins 7 weeks ago.

Good luck with your consolation runs and all future endeavours. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Thank you so much 😊. I agree when I was finding it hard to get motivated or felt it was impossible going on this forum and seeing others post about them achieving the steps I couldn’t even imagine was such a motivation for me!

You will be soon graduating yourself! 30 minutes is such an achievement ! I did 30 minutes today and got nowhere near 5k, but it still feels amazing to know 9 weeks ago I struggled with a minute and yet here we are!
