Clicking in knee

So today I'm due to do W6R3

But for the past few days I've had a clicking in my left knee. It's pretty much painless. And it doesn't hurt or "click" when I'm walking or running. I notice it if I'm sitting or laying down and bend and then straighten my knee to stand. After a few clicks it stops...then comes back again a little while later.

Could it be due to the running?

If it is not causing you pain it sounds pretty normal. It’s just your ligaments and tendons moving:

Thanks!

I worry like mad the moment something doesn't feel "right" so was considering skipping my run today. But you've made me feel reassured.

Off I go to do my run without worrying about my knee snapping, haha!

Thanks again

No problem at all, how was your run?

Was good!!! Nothing like the feeling of thinking "how the heck am I going to run 25 mins" and then actually completing it 😁

Totally smashing this! Well done! Bask in smugness for the rest of the day! 😀

My knees have done that all my life (really, since I was at primary school), but strangely, not so much since I've been running. Maybe doing the knee strengthening exercises is having a real effect?

My sons knees clicks too, took him to the doctor about it ages ago and the doctor didn't see it as a concern.

The only reason I was worried about mine is its only the one knee. The right one is fine...

Try the knee strengthening exercises to see if that helps. And well done on running 25 minutes!
