So I haven’t run for a good few weeks what with a sore ankle and then a bad back. First time out since then and felt quite unfit. I decided to run for 20 minutes and as is my usual I turned Strava on after my warm up walk and off after my run - does anyone else do this? Was somewhat fed up when after I’d stopped the app was registering 2.1! I then thankfully realised that that was miles which made my run 3.4 kilometres. My pace was 6.04 which meant nothing as I’ve just had to renew my phone and my Strava activities have all disappeared in to the ether 🤪 The ankle is still sore - any advice on that? I’ve missed my running (I think!) and need to keep at it so would be grateful for any advice.

ANKLE ADVICE?
Sorry to hear about the ankle and back pain... I suggest that you see your GP and get a physio referral. You don't want to cause more damage by running on it.
I have been to both. The physio said I’d just strained the muscles all around the ankle and that it would be ok to run. I know what’s caused it. I’ve driven a lot over the last few months and have had my foot ‘cocked’ over the brake while I’ve been driving with cruise control. I’ll alternate with ice and heat and see how it is the day after tomorrow when I should be running again.
Ahh fair enough, and that explains it then with all the driving on top.
I'm going to do the R3 in Wk6 tomorrow and thankfully my body is holding up... I never thought I'd say this... But not to be able to get out there and pound the street's, because of an injury is my worst nightmare.
Jeez I've changed 😂🏃♀️🙌
Go steady and I hope things improve for you 🤞
Yes, I know what you mean. I’ve been desperate to get back on it too 😂 Take it easy.
Good comeback run. I’d be seeing a physio with the ankle.
