Well this is a good sight to see!!! Wasn’t sure how today would go, ran in new trainers 👟 (walked 5K in them yesterday to wear them in) but they were great. I knew it was going to be hot ☀️🔥 and it really was, I was purple within 5 mins I’m sure! The run itself was challenging, hit many more tired spells today but purely down to the heat I think, still managed it though and still hit 4K in the 28 min run so I’m pleased with that.
Well done to everyone and thank you for supporting me on my C25K journey, it’s really lifted me up during lockdown, given me something to focus on, lost me a bit of weight and made me feel a whole lot better! Thank you 😊

That is so awesome. The one thing I’ve tried not to do is check if I’d lost weight. It is one of my foibles and has been very demotivating when I’ve not seen the progress I expected. The upshot with C25K is now, on the 6th week, my close family and friends have started to comment that I’d lost weight. This, more than any scales, is much more motivating.
Very true but sadly that’s what motivates me 🙄 If I hadn’t lost any weight I’d probably have given up. I know that you build muscle originally and can’t expect To lose much, but I’ve lost nearly 6lbs so I’m happy with that. 😊
Everyone has different motivations and half the battle is working out what works for you. And, what demotivates. I think I’m finally getting a handle on mine. Only took 40 odd years!
Thanks! It’ll be Saturday I think as I like to leave two days before the next big one!! 😂 It’s due to rain too so hopefully it’ll be cooler 😅 What about you?
You will, I only hit it on W8 R2 and thought it was a fluke until I did it again today. I’d like to think I could run 5K but 4 is really pushing it at the moment. Good luck for Friday! 💪🏼
Well done Busylady 🎉 I just did W8R1 today and like you I thought at 5 mins in I was never going to finish in this heat but I dug deep and made it to the end also clocking just over 4k 😁 The finish line is in sight, enjoy!
Yes I was so proud when I finished it and I've woke feeling no niggles in my knee/ ankle so I'm delighted😁
Oh and I no longer measure just my weight as it never really shifts much. I now measure my body circumstances too and this is much more rewarding - I've lost 6cm off my hips since mid-May 🎉
