My daughter has been a runner for some years and has completed various 10ks and half marathons (including the Beaujolais one in France which sounds right up my street π) I've been reporting back to her on my progress and mentioned that it's a real trial sometimes and I'm just longing for the end to come (I'm on w6 got run 3 next) and her advice, bearing in mind she is a GP, is......... when she's running she pretends shes a dog. She said she thinks about how happy dogs are and how they just run for the joy of it. She tells me it helps her get through tough bits. I'm going to give it a go for that looming 25 minutes, but will try not to let my tongue loll or drool too much..... π€£π€£π€£

My daughter's advice
That's sounds a fantastic tip. I may try that on my next run. Imaging running through the leaves without a care in the world. Just think about the present moment and just enjoy what is around you at that particular point in time.

Don't be stopping for a pee..
Enjoy! π
Ha ha! π What a great piece of GP advice - I will remember that, and might even give it a go! Actually, I have sometimes found myself thinking of when I was a child and used to just love running everywhere! Sadly, my speed is not quite the same though! π€£
Excellent thoughts! I'll definitely be trying that too (being happy, that is, not the drooling!)π
Love this, will definitely keep this in mind!
Fab idea!
Fantastic idea, I'll try it but won't interrupt people's picnics though (as my dogs have been doing recently.-.oh the shameπ³)
Youβll end up chasing the cars and itβll make you run quicker ππββοΈ
