Really great run!

This morning I had what felt like an amazing run! Absolutely smashing it! I thought to myself.....I still only covered 3.7k in 30 minutes....but, if it feels like you're smashing it, then you're smashing it, am I right??

Anyway, my hubby/ running buddy has been struggling with knee pain and hasn't been out with me for a while...today he said "I'll walk with you, I'll probably be able to keep pace......"😳

Okay I thought to myself, let's see if you can still keep pace...well, he lost sight of me by the end of our road...when I turned just after the half way point, he met me on my way back, he ran with me for a little bit.......I just kept going as I'd found my sweet spot as it were....and yeah....left him behind!!! 😁😁

I'm secretly very pleased with myself...I'm definitely smashing it!!😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣

Definately smashing it!!

There is no such thing as 'only covered' X km in any time... it has be be measured on self-improvements and mental/physical satisfaction!

I did my first 3.5km the other day in bid to go a bit further than my previously paltry (I know I shouldn't use that negative word) 3km! It took me 33minutes - but I loved it... and I know I will be able to do 4km at some point in the next month.

My 5k may be a little way off, and certainly not in 30 minutes until perhaps Christmas! But hey - that would be a lovely gift to myself if I made it.

SO 3.7km in 30 minutes is truly smashing it! Well done YOU ....(Poor hubby btw)!!!! LOL

Thank you primaballerina! You've made me feel even better about it! Hubby will survive....it serves him right a little bit....first time out with me AFTER I'd done all the work in C25K, and he'd never run anywhere in his life.....he started with..."Well..I thought you'd be a lot quicker that that!".....needless to say, I secretly vowed that I would outrun him one day....even if he has got a sore knee! 🤣

You cross the start line... you get to the finish line feeling great... yep, that’s smashing it by any definition I can think of... that’s what running is all about.

You covered 3.7k... kick that word “only” out of your head, it doesn’t belong in there.

Great job putting hubby in his place too!

Happy running.
