I consider myself a seasoned runner, I’ve been hitting the tarmac or trails for a long while. My wife has started the couch to 5k and I go out with her and tag along to give her support on her runs. We have just finished week4 Run3. She smashed it and I am super proud of how far she had come in such a short amount of time. Today she said she felt like she had a bad run so I remarked that the only bad run is the run you didn’t do. I’ve seen posts on here and would like to tell you all, you are doing amazingly well, keep it up and don’t give up. The runs seem good and to watch my wife follow the increase in time running is inspiring. She might not know it although I do tell her, she is amazing, keep it going all of you and especially Shel.

I’ll have to take your word for it. I can hardly get mine to walk 😣. He bought daps. That’s when his interest waned 🙄

Andy, you could be telling my story. I started c25k in March and my OH (a seasoned runner and hockey player) trotted around with me. He kept thinking he might have to adapt the programme for me but I completed every run and graduated in May at the age of 60. I have never run before and I have become addicted to it. After running 3 times a week , including Parkruns, I have just signed up for the bridge to 10k so watch out, she may be surprising you further!!

Well done for supporting your wife on this amazing journey and well done to her too.
