yesterday, I took my daughter to her very first junior parkrun at our local park. She is only 4 but she absolutely smashed it and the feeling of pride seeing her dash through the finish line was amazing
In some ways it has rekindled my drive to get back to running outdoors! The parkrun community is so welcoming and supportive and it really puts me at ease running outdoor at these events!

Oh what a fabulous picture of you and your daughter! Very special and wonderful that you could do that together. She looks so sweet running with her Dad ππππ
That is absolutely awesome! Really well done to you both - this will be a core memory for her. (I'm not at the Parkrun stage yet, but it's encouraging to hear about a welcoming community.)
thank you so much I have some confidence issues with running outside and for that reason am most of the time stuck indoors on the tread! the parkrun community is really welcoming to all abilities and the volunteers are amazing at cheering you along. Good luck with wherever you are in your training!
thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am certainly going to push myself to run outside weekly! Seeing my daughter step up and do it without excuses or hesitation is really inspiring for me!
That is exciting, i bet you can't wait to get out with him! Best of luck with it!
