I simply loathe bananas. I can’t stand the smell, texture, look or the taste of them. I know, I’m weird - you might even say I’m bananas. 🍌🍌
I’ve got Sarah Millican cheering me on and I’m on week 7. She keeps telling me to have a banana (I do so want to tell her where she can shove her banana....but so far I have resisted!). 😝
Anyone got any suggestions for an alternative?

You are not bananas KF, I can eat a banana but also love grapes, you can try grapes, apples or a orange if you want, you can ask your coach to shove her bananas where the "sun don't shine" as the song goes, anyway all you need to do before a run is drink plenty of water, week 7, not long now until you graduate bananas or no bananas. 😊 🏃🏾
Mill is better a for hydrating as it has water, minerals and protein in it which is what you lose during exercise. Apples have vitamin c and fibre. Apples are also good for replenishing energy.
Many thanks for your suggestions, I’ll give them a go.
No issues regarding drinking water. I have a kidney problem so have to drink a minimum of 4.5 litres up to 10 litres in the summer - which is all done under the supervision of my fantastic doctors and is not recommended for normal people.
Kiwi??? More potassium than a banana anyway. Or some peanut butter on toast/a bagel? I eat far too many bananas - could eat them all day long ( and sometimes I do....🙄).
Well, it is a matter of taste. I don’t particularly like the bananas you find at supermarkets. I used to like bananas back home in Cape Verde but those were local bananas or the tiny ones. The ones sold around the world are rather boring in my opinion.
I usually use the generic bananas in recipes or smoothies. Another way is to fry it in light oil or microwave it without any oil while the banana is still a bit green, sprinkle some cinnamon. voila a great dessert.
You could also try it raw with cinnamon to see if that would help you eat it.
