Rain - On - Me (not)

So, woke up at 6am to the sound of VERY heavy rain, today is run day and to date I’ve not done a really rainy run. I battled with myself for 20 minutes, I even put on my running top, peered out the window, still pouring. That was it, back to bed with major run guilt going on. With the guilt hanging over my head all morning the rain now cleared and the promise of beer tonight I made the radical decision to run this afternoon (I have only ever run pre 9am). So, just back and redder than ever, but feel really good that I’ve done it and my body is obviously capable of running at other times of day! Quite a revelation 😀 I might even upgrade that beer to some bubbles 🍾 Happy Friday night all.

Good for you - I didn’t run this morning and half considered going out later instead of tomorrow morning but a) I know I don’t like it b) I was on some weird cleaning spree and blitzed the oven for 2 hours ( god knows how we haven’t died of botulism judging by the state of it ) c)it was very windy and I hate wind, so it will be my usual early Saturday as normal.

If it’s still windy I’ll have to suck it up😜I’m a morning girl

I know! 😜It just needed doing because I had to replace the seal and one thing led to another...

I’m not a morning person at all. At 62 my relationship with sleep is still that of a teenager! Do t ask me to do anything strenuous or complicated until I’ve been up for at least 2 hours🤣. But then watch me go! Especially if it’s raining. Have discovered I love running in the rain. Think I may be a bit odd....but who cares I’m running for the first time in years. It’s great isn’t it whatever time of day.
