Pouring with rain...

I am due to tackle the 20 minutes today but forecast is for heavy rain all day. I have avoided rain so far and don't want to add another handicap to an already formidable run. Any comments about rain running? Am I a wimp??

Haha you are not a wimp at all. It's horrible getting wet and cold. The only thing is it does keep you cool. I did my graduation run last night in torrential rain and I quite enjoyed it but maybe I'm weird. I looked like a panda though as I'd forgotten to take my make up off!!!!

Should add wear a peaked cap...keeps the rain out of your eyes...also wear running tights or fairly close fitting 'bottoms'

Running in the rain is fun. The idea with a peaked cap is good. You have the world to yourself, those that are out look at you as if you're mad. But you know you're not mad, just dedicated - and the feeling afterwards is great!

Wooohoo! Well done. You'll get to not bother about cold or rain. You will really! Unbelievable as it may seem now. I was the world's biggest wuss but I turn out in all weathers. Once you get out there and start the brisk warm up walk you soon get hot. I warm up indoors as well first so by the time I hit the street for the five minute walk I'm smoking
