Not quite sure what happened this morning but I went out in the rain & finished week 7!
I hate the thought & feeling of wet feet in shoes so hadn’t been looking forward to running in the rain! I was meant to be meeting some friends for a walk mid morning but that got cancelled & I didn’t like the thought of not doing anything so put my grownup pants on & dragged myself out to run!!
The first 5mins my legs felt heavy & I could have happily stopped but I reminded myself I’d been stupid enough to leave the house in the rain, I wasn’t stopping!! From about half way I started to really enjoy it & ended up running my fastest split yet, when I got to the end I literally punched the air like I was crossing a finish line in a race 😂😂
On to week 8, I know I will have to slow down again but feel I am getting better at judging my pace. For all of you just starting out, keep going, it really does work. I was so unfit when starting this & wouldn’t have imagined running for 6 seconds, never mind 26 minutes!
