Last night I went for my third run. It had started to rain by the time I was ready, Hubby said "it's raining" my reply was "so". He got his waterproofs out and jumped on his bike to "ride shotgun". I was way down the street onto my first run before he caught me up.
I went further than run 2 but not as far as run 1. Thoroughly enjoyed running in the rain, didn't end up all red faced, huffing and puffing, I think I've found my pace. My legs have no aches at all today. Can't wait for Tuesday and week 2!!
I went out running in the rain!!! Never would have thought I'd do that when I started this running thing. Feeling really chuffed with myself, we're going away on Wednesday for a long weekend and I've already told Hubby we're running while away. I'm really exited about running somewhere new, round a camp site!! Have I got the bug already??

Brilliant well done. As 90ldfinch states, by far the hardest run is the very first one/week as (if you are like me at least) you are fighting years of inactivity.
And in the rain? Super well done (and some of that goes to your hubby supporting you).
well done for getting out there. I quite enjoyed running in the rain last week, found it refreshing.
I am a bit stumped for what to wear though as I ended up with a rather wet t-shirt. I find waterproof jackets too hot & clammy - anyone have any recommendations for one please?
I've got a bright pinky purple water and wind proof top. A bit like a kagool with a hood. It's Karrimor Run, really thin screws up to nothing, easily fits in a pocket. I'm not sure where I got it from could have been Sports Direct in the sale. I remember it being very cheap about £5 in the sale. It's brilliant I don't know I'm wearing it and... I don't get wet from rain or sweat!!
I was out running in the rain today. Good job I wore my cap as I had to walk back most of the way as my calf was killing me
A cap is a boon! So is your husband by the sound of it! We could all do with a jump on a bike and ride shotgun kinda guy! Sigh ...
Go nice and steady! Stick with the program and don't be tempted to over-run or do too much. It's so easy to get carried away. Good fun though isn't it!
