Hi, I've just completed day 2, week 2- I'm amazing myself by doing this especially aged 55. I've never been a runner, even though I pushed myself to join a mums netball team 4 years ago, I then moved to Devon, & have intermittently done cycling, swimming & walking but not much else! I was challenged to undertake the couch to 5k by someone who is also doing it to help his weight loss! So I'm doing this to improve my health & fitness & to prove I can do it!
Hello! : Hi, I've just completed day 2, week... - Couch to 5K
Hello!
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Hey, welcome! I'm nearly 66, graduated last week! Also in Devon. Amazed myself, the plan is amazing, we are all amazing! You can do this, go you!🏃♀️
It’s brilliant that you’ve started! Just take it slowly. The plan is great - I’m now on week 8 run 3 and never imagined I’d get this far. I’m 52 and never been sporty! Will be rooting for you!
Thank you. Week 8 seems a long way off at the moment, 😁, but enjoying it so far. X
Fantastic well done. I've just completed W5 and never thought I'd get this far. The plan is excellent and really works!! Keep going🙂
Well done for being 2/3 of the way through w2, you’re doing great 👍
Well done you, you're on your way! I completed the program 3 weeks ago and still can't believe that from doing absolutely no exercise at all after recovering from an op last year I am now running for 30 mins 3 times a week and I LOVE IT! Trust the plan, it really does work and enjoy getting out there in that lovely Devon countryside! ☀️🏃♀️
