Alarm went off at 5:15am, the plan being to be out of the door by 6am to try and run 5k in 30 mins. But the voice in my head had other ideas and was saying, ‘have a rest today, you can go out in the morning, have a lie in’ so I needed a kick to get me out and running, I always use this motivational video from You Tube, which never fails to do the trick:

I didn’t quite reach the magic 30 mins, but 31:14 isn’t too shabby for a 54 year old former couch potato. I’ll keep trying I’m determined....I’ll get there soon.

Good luck if your running today, try the video, it may help you too, when you need a boost 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Just had a look. Thanks, it may help when I get to a more difficult stage. I am finding though, that the initial walk is a breeze. And once I’m out there walking, the rest just falls in line.

Thank you so much for sharing this! Just discovered. Timing couldn’t have been better as I was about to find a reason for yet another rest day tomorrow ... as a 54 year old too, just turned 55 🤪🙏🏼☀️🏃🏼‍♀️

Thanks for this. I will definitely have to try it to get me up in the mornings for a run. I am absolutely terrible, I set my alarm for OMG 'o' clock then repeatedly hit snooze 🙈....... 😴
