Birthday 5K!!

Finally broke that 5k barrier on my treadmill running for 30 mins alone has never got me close but pushed on today after Laura’s Stepping Stone session and ran through the warm down and onward determined to get through the distance, slowed down and felt relaxed and capable. 54 today and that felt like a goal achieved woohooo!!

Of course inspired by the mighty Burnley FC running through extra time last night to win their leg of the Europa Cup, 120 mins of running round in 24c Made my 30 mins look well achievable.

That’s given me confidence for the weeks ahead. Hooray 😀

Happy birthday Lydia! What a fantastic achievement to celebrate with 😁

I'm a Brighton fan but I've a massive soft spot for Burnley. Nick Pope is my second favourite premier league keeper (after Maty Ryan obviously). I'm a season ticket holder at non-league Eastbourne Borough and their goalkeeping coach trained him while he was at Charlton. Ashley Barnes played for Borough on loan and Chris Wood's auntie works at Argos with my step-son 😂

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day 🎉🎂

Wow! 😮that’s a proper set of Burnley connections, I’m really impressed - we went to Poundland once and met the guy who used to play football with Ben Mee at school, nowhere near as good. Brighton, v good side , wish you well this season.

Day will be great, it started well and as long as I stop thinking about how old I am I’ll be fine 😂

Well done Lydia and a happy birthday. Lol you're forgiven for the mighty Burnley thing. I'm literally 5mins down the road in the next town but a staunch Liverpool fan. Though I concur, the boys done good. Keep going with your running. Who knows, I may see you at Townley one Saturday. I didnt go today, I was climbing Wearnside
