Week 6 Run 1

I really didn’t have myself down as a runner, but here I am on week 6! I had a small hiccup on week 4 when I had a problem with sore knees, but after a week off to let them recover and buying some decent running shoes, I couldn’t wait to continue!

I’m really enjoying it and my mental health has definitely benefited, especially in the thick of lockdown. Getting out early and running the country lanes, taking in the sounds and sights where I live has been bliss and made me appreciate what I have around me.

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
