As promised I am reporting on the Run1 of week 6 which seems to be a faux-ami after the 20' of week 5.
Well I don't know if it's because today was my first day back to work (I was on a sabbatical the past 5 weeks) and so was a little tired and had to do the run in the evening but it was really hard. the 8' in the middle, I thought it would be never end.
I kept going because I did not want to have to do the run again but it was bloody hard!!
Next run on Wednesday and a little anxious about it to be honest! I feel that it got harder and I took a step back. We shall see

We all have wobbles and the return to intervals can be tricky. The good thing is, you only have one more interval run to do and then you just start building time until the end of the plan.
Take it easy, maybe take it a little bit slower, but you can do it. If anything, I actually found R2 of week 6 easier than R1 (possibly because R1 gave me a kick up the backside and reminded me not to get complacent).
Yes, w6r1 seems to be telling us we’re not Mo Farah quite yet, which is a bit of a let down after the excitement of actually running 20 mins in the previous run. Liked your “faux-ami”!
I think so much of it is in your head. I’m now on w7 and loving it. Jo Whiley says to try and turn your mind set from ‘I hate running’ to something more positive, even ‘I love running’ and rather strangely I’ve found my body really likes running. The brain still hates it, but our bodies were built to run, if our ancestors were faced with a sabre tooth tiger, hitting change channels on the remote wasn’t a viable option. You like everyone else, to quote his Bruceness, were born to run.
Firstly - fantastic on completing your run!!! Secondly - I could have written this post!! I found the 8 mins in the middle endless too and forced myself through so I wouldn’t have to repeat it 😬
You did it though! Lots of people saying run two will be better. Go smash it! 💪🏻
