I cannot quite believe this but I have just finished W9R3 - just over 4.4km and feeling sooo pleased. I keep pinching myself to check it isn’t just a dream. When I started this I couldn’t run a minute without being tired. What a brilliant podcast this is.
The downside is I look like a mad woman - telling myself out loud “ I can do this” for the last five minutes of the run over and over again. And not a pretty sight - blobby and bright red (think tomato and you have the right picture).
Did have to sometimes take a two day break but all so worth it. I plan to keep this up, simply because I can’t face starting from the beginning ever again!

Just follow what iannoda says. Have a consolidation plan. I'm planning 3x30 runs for 3 weeks or so, see how it goes. Just done 1st week. Then maybe increase time. I'm nowhere near 5k yet! Join the consolidation club. Enjoy!
You are amazing - so well done on completing this programme- it truly works. What a great post - I’m starting week 8 maybe on Sunday maybe Monday - I’m determined to get to graduate too 🏃🏼♀️👍😊✅
I’m starting week 9 tomorrow - gave myself a couple of extra days off ! Actually looking forward to getting out early tomorrow morning- it’s lovely when there’s not so many people and cars around and it’s cooler. I’ve even got my step daughter wanting to start the programme as she’s so impressed with my achievement so far. In fact my daughter who has run half marathons is stunned I’m still going strong. Let’s do this - I’m so determined to 🏃🏼♀️👍
Wow well done and a great time too 👍 I did 2 weeks of 30 mins consolidation (7runs) then shortened my first run and slowly lengthened my last run to achieve 5k within the 90 mins per week. Plan is to consolidate that for a week then add 5 mins every 2 weeks
Thanks for advice. I have now done three consolidation runs - two went well and the other a total disaster. Can’t decide if to slowly increase the running time to do 10k or if that is over ambitious and I should settle for 5k. Any thoughts on this?
