WK8R3 Done with Mind over Matter!!

Tough jog/run today, could be due to SAD Symptoms ie: Seasonal Affective Disorder...but nevertheless continued, as I knew it was the penultimate week, I guess I lost focus, but the body reminded me as got to the first 5mins.

Yep so once again, I had a word with myself and knuckled down, although it was getting tough legs muscles more aching feeling, but I think that's because some areas of the thigh is stretching/growing as you get stronger.

I started to use the old skool idea to help me focus better adopting the Endurance side as opposed to how quick I can do the jog/run, as that's when you risk Injury.

So as I'm a family guy,as the kids were growing up, we would mark their height on the door frame, and then they could see there progress in growing so I used that Analogy in marking my route from day 1 to now using the same route, and it helps alot to see your previous Mark's,

I know the app suggests mixing up the routes for change, but that did not work for me...as I constantly remind myself I'm not an Athlete, and i should go at a steady pace so the body gets used to this new regime.

I have promised myself after next week, to visit different parks near me and get that new Experience and Feeling....πŸ™‚πŸ˜·πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’―πŸ‘Œ

Great job... and you have the perfect attitude to distance running... I love it. It’s time for your victory lap... enjoy every step of every run.

The thing to remember is that some days are just rubbish. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Shrug the shoulders, accept it and go out again.

Well done for pushing through! That's how we build up our strength and stamina πŸ’ͺ Great reflections there, this is about stamina rather than speed, and as much a mental game as it is physical. I've restarted the programme and I use that strategy as well, which is why I also don't change routes πŸ‘

Good luck with your next run, you've got this! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ
