I was sh*tting bricks at the thought of starting Week6.......(I always get the full gremlins onslaught at the start of any week).....but my 20min milestone run kept hovering amongst the gremlins; telling my brain that if you can do 20 mins, then 5 and 8 mins is no biggie at all.
Didn't help that I forgot to set the alarm for crazy o'clock, so a late start at 7am saw me begin W6R1 tentatively. The first 5min run felt like I had legs made of lead.....but after the recovery walk, i actually got to a very (dare I say it????!!!!) "comfortable" rhythm that felt as natural and easy as walking for the next 8min and 5min runs!!!π€π€π€
Ok....so I go slow (real ππ’ snail/tortoise pace)....but jogging has never been my forte and I've never been able to say that I can jog comfortably.....so, I am well chuffed with today's run, that's for sure!!!!
More reason for me to keep at it....no pressure then...lol!!!!π π π
Roll on W6R2!!π

You're right, it is mind over matter. I saw a nice tee-shirt recently that said 'the only thing that can make you fail is - you!'. So well done, keep going and looking forward to seeing you on the podium in a few weeks πππ»ββοΈππ
Fabulous, I donβt run I plod; like a stampede of tortoise running through peanut butter, but itβs faster than those sitting on the sofa. I found going from the 20 min to the 25 really hard Iβve done it twice now, trying not to think about that extra 3 minutes next week. X
