Hopefully back to running soon!

I've had to take a short break from running as my knee keeps on getting inflamed, then it will be fine again and then somehow I'll end up hurting it again - which was so frustrating, as I'm enjoying running so much and didn't want it to knock back my progress!

Luckily, I went to see someone today, (an osteopathic physician) she says that its actually to do with the arch of my foot, they are both different - so the way I'm running currently, I'm leaning too much on a certain side of my left foot, which in result of doing this, has been affecting my knee! I'm buying an ankle support which should come tomorrow and hopefully I'll be back to running in no time! :)

I tried to ignore it at first but I want to do this long term and wanted to double check it was nothing serious with my hyper mobility - luckily it’s something I can fix - excited to see my progress now I’ve got this under control 😊

So frustrating but at least you’re getting it sorted quickly, which is great considering the current times! Fingers crossed you’ll be back running again soon 🤞🏼🙏

Yeah I’m really surprised I managed to get an appointment with her! I will say it made me realise how much I enjoy it despite moaning sometimes because I’ve been driving myself and everyone around me mental with wanting to run again 😂😂

When the shops reopen maybe it would benefit you to visit one of the running shops, where you can do a short run on their treadmill, which they film and from this they see your footfall, create custom made insoles for you and suggest which trainer suits you best. I had some made years ago and they’re great 👍

One of my local ones is doing outside gait analysis, so I’ve got an appointment booked so hopefully I’ll find some good trainers that are in the budget I’m thinking of, but I don’t mind spending slightly more if it means comfort and reduces my chances of injuries! 😊

That’s good, hopefully that’ll get you back on track soon, it’s worth spending a bit more if it does the trick and helps your knee.
