I did it! I finished!!

I’ve done it! W9R3!! I can’t believe it!! Can’t believe that I finished the programme and managed to complete every run first time. For an old bird (54), never done any sport in my life, it’s a major achievement, I also rarely blow my own trumpet, but I just did!!!

I also wanted to share why this achievement is super poignant and why I’ve dedicated it to my Dad who died in 1996 just short of his 62nd birthday. He was a runner, used to go out before work every other day, with our pet whippet and jog for around 6 miles. He did that for about 20 years before he went out one day and didnt come back😢Turns out he had ischaemic heart disease and his ticker failed him just a few metres away from home.

I always said I would never run because of this, but I just did, and can see why Dad loved it so xx

Thank you to everyone on this forum who has been supportive, givers of giggles, never judgmental. Love you all!!! Onwards and upwards with this running lark!!!

I can imagine it was an emotional moment. Well done! I’m doing the same run today and whilst not so emotional for me I will be pretty excited to achieve this milestone 🎉
