Just wanted to share that I did it, w5r3 ie 20mins straight. Can’t believe it! The key for me was that I went slow. Extra slow to be honest and as a result I could have run more. Next time I know I need to pick up the pass.
Still doesn’t make sense to me how you can run from 8mins to 20mins. And then why the app takes you back again. Anything thoughts?

The plan just works. Follow it and you will be running for 30 mins non stop. The next couple of runs catch people out. But once you get to week 7 there is a good step up and you’ll be on the home stretch. Enjoy the rest of the plan and congratulations on your success so far.
Well... you did it, so that’s proof it works! It wasn’t really 8 minutes to 20 - you ran 8, walked 5 and ran 8 in 5:2, so that was 21 minutes... we tend to disregard the walking intervals when we think about the runs but they do contribute to our fitness.
Watch out for 6:1 and 6:2. I found those runs the toughest of the whole program. I was feeling great after 5:3 and went out a bit too fast... big mistake! The first chunk was ok but fatigue kicked in towards the end and I had nothing left in the tank. Don’t worry - there will come a time to work on speed but try to keep it nice and easy through the next week.
If you watch time lapse film of plants growing and flowers opening, you’ll see natural progression isn’t a straight line: it happens in leaps of different sizes, the occasional plateau, and even the odd regression. By mixing it up a bit, the programme helps you to grow strong as a runner. Enjoy x
