Had a bit of a glitch this week, after running regularly with one or two days rest, this week I have had 4 days off running, and had a couple of glasses of wine on both Friday night and Saturday night. With the weather becoming so cold, dark and wet I forgot to keep drinking water yesterday. So I expected problems this morning, but I felt that I really needed to get out for my next run. I was missing my run! And, it was my best run yet, I didn't feel at all tired, and even managed a slight speeding up for the last minute when Laura suggested I finish on a high. Bring on Week 8, I can't wait

Wow! That's brilliant. Well done you. I'm going to try R3 again soon as I went too fast without thinking, and couldn't finish yesterday!
I spoke too soon, feeling a bit stiff this morning, ha ha. By week 5 I felt as if I ought to be running a bit faster, but the more I read advice from people on this forum, I realised that slow was best. I've made an effort in week 7 to slow right down and just maintain the same pace all the way through, and it does seem to work. Good Luck with your next run!
