So...I finished. I've run every second day no matter how I've felt. Disappointing that the app had the same voice for all the last 3 runs but I feel great. W1R1 nearly killed me and today wasn't hard.
I find 30 minutes of jogging enough, from a tediousness point of view so move towards 10k doesn't appeal....so...
I am considering just doing 30 minutes every 2 days or starting the programme again but with a weighted ruck sack. Anyone done anything like that?
I did it though! Wooo

Congratulations! Really good to read about your progress here (I only just survived run one too 🤣). I’m not sure I’d fancy a weighted rucksack, especially in the heat, but I know a couple of people who’ve used ankle and wrist weights successfully. 10k might call to you later and you’ll have a fantastic grounding to work from.
Celebrate well and enjoy all your future running adventures.
Ive started with a rucksack on my walks recently. Only to push my total weight back to what it was. It's only a few kilos but I was surprised of the difference i was carrying around before and how tiring it was. I run or walk at 7am ish so it's not hit then
Congratulations!! After tomorrow's run I will have completed the C25K experience, little dissappointed I wont get a big fanfare and crowds cheering when I complete it! 🎉😉
however like you having been thinking what to do after, in terms of goals, motivation etc and honestly I dont know! I know I am really enjoying all the benefits I have gained from running so will continue running 5k at least 3 times a week and build on my stamina. Unlike you I quite like the thought of being able achieve a 10k, but not quiet there yet. Personally I think you should carry on with running as you have worked so hard to get this point but you should run on your terms. So I think what you suggesting sounds great, keeps it interesting. I'm hoping that when we get a sense of normality c back that I running for me might become more of social event. I previously done a tough mudder which was good fun, maybe getting a group together and working towards an event as such.
I have found the solid running a bit of a chore...I moved from music, on the earlier runs, to podcasts/spoken word for the later ones as the time passes quicker. I liked the chop and change and the breaks and the new challenges
I might try a podcast just for variety. Everyone is different I like that repetition I find it medative. I hope you find your thing. Tough mudder might be fun for you. you can do 5k but broken to segments with the obstacles. You might enjoy the camaraderie
Yes I liked the music for most but, week 7, 8 and 9 time seemed to pass so slow I listened to some audible podcasts as time went quicker and it occupied my mind more.
I will keep running but running for a long time is tough. So far I've done couch25k round my small garden..round and round. I'm a single dad with three kids so can't really bog off for an hour every coue if days and round and round for an hour is too much for me. Think I'll stick with 30mins for a while
I know it's hard! I'm a mum of three and with homeschooling I have had days where I've hit the garden too so your words resonate with me. But hopefully the situation changes.
Congratulations on completing and graduating from C25K, the administrators know that you have graduated but officially tell them on the May graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page to get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username, once again congratulations 🎊 😊 🏃🏾 🎓.
Congratulations! That’s a brilliant achievement, well done 👍 🏆 I just have one run left of week 9 to do. When I’ve graduated I think I’ll do 30 min runs maybe Mon Wed Fri, and rest on weekends, also try and increase pace and distance.
What next? Well, to be honest, I think you might benefit from looking at a 10k program.
Hop over to the bridge to 10k forum and see.
Imagine doing a normal 30 minutes, then a bit longer... but your run in between, is only 15 minutes! But you're back to intervals. So I would do a normal start for 5 minutes, then run as fast as could for 30 seconds, then really, really slow for 2 minutes, and just repeat that.
Its all about being clever with your running and mixing it up
