W8 R1 ... now I just need to fine tune.....

... the music! 🎶 🎧 I’ve become so blasé about running, that the only thing I can think of currently is how to fine tune my background music! No fears anymore that I will be left gasping on the hill 🏔 , that my calf muscles will seize up, that my back will start hurting the moment I stop running, or that my knees will twinge. Just out of bed, clothes and hoodie (love my hoodie), music on, run app on, running shoes, outside say hi and bye to 🐓 (only one left since fox incident) and together with Jo Wiley off I go 🏃🏻‍♀️ . Post run: stretches and throw my husband out of bed 🛌 . (If you would know him, you’d know how hilarious 😂 that actually is, he is the runner in our house... but he has got some competition nowadays, - all down to C25k). Thanks C25k and thanks to all in this forum! I am still in a wondrous amazement about what each of us has achieved. We got this! 🏅

👏🏼👏🏼 that made me smile 😃 I couldn’t have got through C25K without my music 🎧- what’s on your playlist?

😁🎧I fear I am still hung up on my Guardians of the Galaxy playlist, so the Jackson 5, Johnny Maestro (Hooked on a feeling), the Spinners, George Harrison, etc. Have ventured to some dedicated running playlists but seem to always come back to GoG. What is on your playlist? How do you chose music? By beat, speed, sound or simply by preference?

Fantastic, what a great post!! I also need my music when I run, I keep adding to my playlist, it really motivates me 😃 I'm doing that same run tomorrow, looking forward to it! We totally got this 👍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💪

A bit of all of the above! My taste in music is very eclectic. I tend to go for upbeat songs on my playlist . So here’s a random selection- I’ve got Chic, Sister Sledge, Daft Punk( big Nile Rogers fan) Sigala,The Killers, Chase and Status, Harry Styles, Paul Weller, Katy Perry, Calvin Harris. Also some classic cheese from the Hairspray soundtrack!

I like making playlists on Spotify as it makes suggestions and reminds me of songs I’ve forgotten about.

Congratulations but HOW DO YOU RUN IN A HOODIE?? I am always trying to work out how little can I wear as I get so hot within minutes. 🤣🤣 and I am of an age where I cannot run in a just a sports bra top.

Tee shirt and shorts (or capris on a cold day. ) and just a light thin jacket in winter. And my feet are hot puddles when I get home!! I take my shoes off when I get in and there are sweaty footprints all over my tiled floor. ( yes I do wash my floor once I’ve showered. 🤣). I am in awe of anyone who can run in a hoody. My daughter used to run in thick joggers and I know I couldn’t

And yes I have to have music when I run too.

Good luck with the rest of your runs till graduation 🏃‍♀️

My favourite hoodie is sleeveless and a light fabric. So TShirt (in colder weather long-sleeved) and sleeveless hoodie works well, at the moment. But as a newbie I will have to yet experience running in ❄️ ⛄️ 😳winter. And i believe as my metabolism 🔥 is somewhat challenged 🥶 (hypothyroid), my temperature sinks quite quickly after the run. I even had to run with 🧤 recently. So, I am rather cool 😎. 😁

Yes I’m the same I get cold very quickly. I’ve worn a jacket quite often !!

Great post well done you. Music is my next focus thanks for the advice. I’ll have a look at various playlists. 🐌✅👍🏻

Ahh that explains it!! 😁my daughter is 33 now and I think my thermostat broke when I was having her because I was always hot when pregnant and have been ever since. Didn’t notice hot flushes cos I was hot all day and night anyway

My heating bills are really low too. Up until last winter I had no radiators in my house just one gas fire in sitting room which I hardly used. Mind you I do have fleece blankets and 4 cats so no heating needed in winter 🤣🤣🤣
