Well, I stopped running just a moment before Laura said 'only 1 minute to go'( on the last 5 minute run. Bit disappointed with myself, but hey... I'd already done 15 minutes which is more than I could possibly have imagined doing just a week or two ago. My knees were hurting, and my breathing was a bit out of control, so I think I probably did the right thing in slowing down to a walk (I did finish it walking briskly-ish). Hoping I feel ready to complete it next time. Going to give myself a couple of days recovery first though. Ice packs on my knees for now....! Have a good weekend everyone.
W4r1 kinda done: Well, I stopped running just a... - Couch to 5K

I was similar on run 1 of wk4 I didn't feel like I would be able to do run 2 or 3 as I really struggled to get to the end. But when Laura said that even though it's getting hard this is where you build your fitness I tried to keep this in mind when I tried run 2... I found this run hard as well but slightly better and then run 3 was heaps better.
So keep going and if you have to slow it down then don't worry you're still doing it and it all helps. It's a good idea to have a rest day or two and then take on run 2, I'm sure you can do it! Have a great weekend.
You did the right thing by not running through the pain. There is a certain need to grit your teeth and get on with it but not at the risk of injuring yourself. Hope the knees are OK. The introductory info on the pinned posts has some info on exercises for knees etc. Have you seen them?
Hope the next run is better for you.
I had the exact same thing this morning - so hard not to beat yourself up over it but you are doing amazingly!!
You too! We'll keep going....
