Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Well done, you are at the start of an amazing personal journey. As you awaken muscles that have been enjoying a siesta they will ache (quite a lot) make sure you read The Guide to The Plan, link in 'Iannoda' comments. These are so important in helping you get through injury free.

This forum is fantastic for positive support, a great mix of newbies, nearly there (that's me) and graduates. Enjoy your journey πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ€οΈ

Well done on your run. I had aches all over and twinges to start with but wasn’t stretching. Took lots of advice from here and it helped so much. Good luck for your runs ahead
