Well I've just completed run2 of week 1 and need to say I've struggled. I've never really run since I was a young kid and think maybe I'm not really built for running. Whenever I run I feel so heavy and cumbersome. Every step is like thud, thud, thud. There is no lightness in my movement. Does anyone else feel like this? Are some people just not designed to run. 🏃♀️🙄

Week run2
Hi, I'm the same. Haven't run since I was a kid and even then I was rubbish! I'm on week 2 now but I did week 1 twice. When I started I barely made the 60 second runs so I feel like I benefited from doing it twice.
I thought the same when I started but it does get easier. I’m on wk5r3 tonight and it’s starting to get serious! So keep going out there and keep going. If you are struggling then go slower that always works.
You have done the hard bit getting out there/starting I was the same but now my next run is R1W5 Iam really looking forward to it. Just slow down have a look at Chi running it seems to work for me.
I'm the same, thud thud thud! But I have made my mind up that I dont care as feeling so much benefit! Just finished week 1 and know I'll never be a gazelle, but I will be fitter😁
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Heavy runners can learn to land lightly......so give it time.
Enjoy your journey.
