Completed Couch to 5k last Friday and am thrilled! I used to hate running and was the type of person who’d make sarky comments about runners but now I’m hooked. Actually did 40-minute runs all through week 9, instead of 30, something I’d never have believed possible when I started out on 30th March... From week 3 onwards I started increasing the timing of each run a little bit over the programme so that by run 3 of that week I’d already be running the time set for run 1 of the following week: I found this strategy really boosted my confidence and motivation 😊 Now that I’ve finished the programme I intend to keep running, keep increasing my run-times and tackle a 10k race the first opportunity I have post-lockdown. Thank you Couch to 5k (and mega thanks to Jo Whiley): you’ve made me a bona fide runner 🏃🏾♂️😊
