From 30 seconds to 30 minutes

I started at the end of January, mid fifties, very unfit and obese. I could only run for 30 seconds at a time. I did week 1 for 5 weeks, I then did most other weeks twice. Yesterday I graduated. I am so proud. I'm still obese and old, but feel like I'm on the road to fitness now. Thank you to this group for being so supportive, I've found reading the posts so helpful. If you are a newbie, just be determined, go at your own pace ( while running and going through the program), you will get there.

I'm a really slow runner- but I'm a runner!

Thank you. And I guess it's all relative. I know I'm not old, but my body has felt it for a while. Turning back the clock now though!

What an inspiring story; I am so full of admiration that you didn’t give up, preferring to repeat weeks rather than admit defeat. Well done! You are amazing!

Well done! Hats off to you for your determination and stickability. I am really impressed by you. Achievement is sweeter when it is hard won. You will inspire so many people with your story and help them to not give up. (Sorry about the poor grammar.)
