Today I completed week 7, I'm amazed, a friend is on her 3 minute runs this week, it doesn't seem that long since that's was where I was at and out of breath to boot.
Run 1 went ok following week 6 run 3 when my ankles and calves hurt, I was worried about my legs (slightly paranoid) but I ran slowly (don't I always) and had no issues so for run two I decided to pick up the pace a tad which was interesting as I managed to run an extra half km compared to the two previous runs but I was well out of my comfort zone breathing very heavily and only just managed it, today I went back to my comfort zone and thoroughly enjoyed it while still modestly improving my distance over the first two 25 minute runs. Now I'm on timed runs with no breaks the tracking app stats are beginning to make sense
Looking forward to week 8 and to seeing friends next week, stay safe and good running🖖😎

Wow, well done. I've just done week 7 run 1 and found it tough for the first 16/17 minutes and then started to believe. Then started to enjoy. Finished over the moon. What a journey!!!
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 7, that as you say is the last of four 25 minute runs, onwards and upwards to week 8, although those three runs are only 3 minutes longer, its amazing what a 3 minute difference is over a 25 minute run, if you keep to your comfort zone you will manage those 3/28 minute runs of week 8 just fine, good luck. 👍 🏃🏾
I’m week 7 too and I sound like I’ve done exactly the same as you as did run 2 yesterday faster but out of my comfort zone.. I’m going slower next time like you. Well done to you 👏 happy running 😊
So much of what you describe resonates with me! The pain in the first few weeks, not knowing whether to increase the pace, finding my enjoyment zone and building confidence. I'm about to do the last run of week 5 and your post is hugely encouraging. Thank you!
