Outside of knee and behind pain

Been suffering for a week now. So gutted was loving running. And now stuck at home. Hurts to walk up or down stairs but not when I walk on flats.

Got better over the week but really want to run tomorrow. Was upto 5mile runs and was thinking of going back to week 6 of C25K to help strengthen.

Anyone had this? Any ideas on right thing to do is run or not

I've had the same thing at various stages, rest and make sure you stretch calves!! You would be amazed how much those wee blighters get us. If you haven't tried YOGA ...Do...! You'll find muscles you didn't realise you had and how they affect other areas (knees). I watch Home Yoga with Lyndsey via Facebook. 😊

No I don’t. Just a dull ache both side and back of knee. Feels like ham and calf muscles are tight.

Oh dear so sorry to hear. What a bummer! I get a pain at the back of my right knee but only during the cool down walk. I now wear a support sleeve & it's made a huge difference.

All I can say after a quick glance at your previous posts is that you seem to have moved from W6R3 24 days ago to doing 5 mile runs, while suffering from niggles in your knee.............too much too soon.

Training plans are there to condition the body to the rigours of impact, slowly building strength, stamina and resistance to injury.........pushing beyond them is unwise.

You need to learn to listen to your body and to follow training plans.
