Up with the Larks this morning! A bit cooler, but still 14 degrees at 06.15am! Blown away that according to Strava, I’ve hit 5k again!
It seemed to take longer to get into a comfortable zone today, compared to 8/1. Up till today, I have been running at 12pm & usually have breakfast 3 hours before & a pint of water between 9 & 12.
Nothing to eat this morning & about half a pint of water. What’s the advice on fuelling up before a run! Whilst I’m furloughed, I’m having breakfast everyday but if/when I get back to work, I usually skip breakfast and grab something on the hop! (Usually un-healthy) & will have to start running on an evening during work time!
Hi, another fab 5k and still ‘only’ in Wk 8 - well done! As you know, I’m one of those Larks, can’t imagine running in the heat of the day. I run as soon as I get up, just some water before I set off, then the reward of breakfast when I get back. I don’t know if that’s good advice or not, maybe I’d have more ‘fuel in my tank’ if I ate something before I ran? I don’t feel like it’s a problem for me though, but perhaps other Couchers could comment / advise?
Thank you! I can’t quite believe the improvement from the earlier weeks! I think I need to reign it in a bit & just get to graduation! It’s nice when Jo says “if you feel you can push a little harder, go for it”. I do tend to feel better towards the end of run!
Thank you! If/when I get back to work,I’ll have to get used to early mornings again! I’d normally be out of the door between 04.30 & 5, cycling to work! That seems like a lifetime ago!
