Yesterday I did my last Couchto5k session. The first two runs of the week went really well; yesterday’s felt like more of a slog and to be honest I felt a bit disappointed to not feel delighted!
However, today I feel pretty good. I’ve just been out in my neighbourhood doing a little shopping in brilliant sunshine. There’s a spring in my step - which was decidedly absent at the start of the programme, and I feel fit and well. I’ve had type 1 diabetes for 34 years and that is still a challenge, particularly when it comes to integrating proper exercise - but I’ve surprised myself by persevering through some unpleasant outings! Today I feel like running is becoming a fitness habit; which was my goal all along...now I just need to consolidate and keep it going!

That’s so brilliant - really well done. Keep at it, it took me about 6 weeks to feel comfortable and confident but I got there (at my snail’s pace), but I’m so glad I have running in my life! Congratulations on such an amazing achievement!
