Can’t believe the 20 min run went so well . Kept thinking I didn’t feel well and shouldn’t run today . So much procrastination but actually enjoyed it . Helped that or was a lovely evening . Does it matter how I breathe so ling as I am 😉. I can’t breathe in through my nose . I keep trying but end up breathing in & out through my mouth . It may be too much to think about

I’m the same with my breathing until near the end of a longer run. Don’t worry too much about it, especially if you aren’t getting a stitch.

Do I need to start doing stretching before or after . I haven’t been . Have only done the 5 min walk . There hasn’t been anything about stretching but My knees are feeling really tight & painful

After each and every run... it is essential :)

Before? Some do, some don't...but that should always be dynamic stretching.... and warm up really well I often take much more than five minutes... :)

Try these too :)

You should do stretching after your run while your muscles are warm as well as your warm down walk always. The links are in the FAQ Posts.Lots more stuff on warm up and dynamic stretching,in your own good time.

Inhaling in through your mouth and exhaling out through your mouth is in some circles recommended.

Most important, natural to you, that’s great, and also do not even think it , just do it.

Hope this helps.

Apparently as long as you’re breathing, that’s fine!

Just breathe... that is the main thing.. slow and steady and well done :)

I can’t do the breathing thing. It was too much like giving birth😄. I also found it better than I ever imagined. Actually looking forward to week 6. Interestingly no aches or pains at all today (I did it yesterday morning). Must be getting fitter. Good luck
