Hi there,

Just done run 1 of week 3. Feel a bit let down by how short of a run it was ? Anybody else feel like this ? I get we have upped to 3 minutes running which is great but the distance overall was shorter.

Thanks for any comments

I remember my husband being surprised we were back so soon! But it’s all part of the plan 👍

Hmm... oh yea I never thought about it like that at the time. I guess for a lot of people who are coming from no prior exercise, it's the first run where they don't get more time to recover than they do from running. So it's probably been designed to be a bit shorter to accommodate the step up. Next week there's a big step up as you run twice as long as you recover for.

That's true. I have zero experience with running. This is the first I've ever actually done any form of running. I think I built it up so much in my head though dreading it yet also looking forward to the challenge that I've left myself feeling a little flat haha. Need to stop looking ahead until run day I think lol

Honestly it's so good and great that you are enthusiastic for the challenge. I haven't exercised in years and I've just done my second 30 minute jog non-stop (albeit at a slow pace). If someone had told me that 7 weeks ago, I wouldn't have believed them!

I always feel like I have more in the tank at the end of a run, but I figure that’s the point, a sign that your fitness is improving. That’s what I like to tell myself anyway 😂

Well I'm glad it's not just me who noticed haha. Was just a little deflated I suppose but onto the next run tomorrow and will know what to expect this time lol
