Big Boooobies!

Sorry gents one for the ladies but I’m desperately trying to find a sports bra that actually works! Physics are against me as I’ve a natural pair of G’s but I am quite self conscious whilst running so I’m really suffering with neck tension ..

I currently wear a shock absorber with an Under Armour pull over 3 times to small compression sports bra which pushes everything under my armpits and round to my back (gross) 😫 so I’m hoping someone had the same problem and has found the bra of all bras to help that actually have my size available ..

On another note I’m self consciously running my way in to W8 R1 tomorrow which is a miracle in itself ..

I have the same issue so understand how you feel! I’m sure it makes running more difficult! I still haven’t found a sports bra that is comfortable and have tried a few by now!!😳

I do try to just get on with it mind over matter but I know what I must look like, I can’t help but feel a bit self conscious which is killing my neck and shoulders 🙁 The other thing is I can’t wear nice running tops either, just an standard Nike running black T-shirt to try and hide in ..

These men have it easy eh! 😉

Have you tried Bravissimo? I have a similar problem finding bras that fit me in other shops but they have a really good range for bigger cup sizes (including sports bras). The one I have is by Panache.

Yes I’ve tried everywhere but a lot don’t have my size, I also find the high X’d back style painful so need an ‘O’ shaped clasp ..

I was hoping someone had found a little gem somewhere, same size as me that they could advise x

Hi Whizzy23.

I havent started yet as I am waiting on my new running shoes arriving.

I can recommend Panache sports bra, I've used this for years. It's quite expensive about £ 35 I think, but I recently picked one up on Brand alley for £15. Hope this helps. Looking forward to getting started.

Honestly that’s cheap compared to a lot I’ve looked at 😳 some I’d have to get a loan out for 🤣

I tried a panache but it didn’t suit.

Thank you though and good luck ! You’ll love it ..

I have exactly the same problem! I bought a shock absorber but it was too small so I’m currently doubling up with 2 sports bras! Doubling up does work for me but it’s not the most ideal solution. I was thinking about buying a breast support band which goes over the top of your sports bra and is supposed to really help reduce breast bounce, might be something additional to consider buying if your self conscious about bounce like me! The one I’ve been looking at is called boobuddy. Hope you find something that suits you :)

Actually that’s a great idea, I’ve seen them before but forgot all about them!

I’ll have a look. Thank you 🙏

When I started out I wore an underwired Bravissimo sports bra to hold it all in and a really tight crop top style sports bra to hold it all down. I’ve since found my Shock Absorber does the same job but then I’ve also gone down two cup sizes and almost a back size (thank God for that!!). I can get away with the Bravissimo and a compression vest in the winter but once that vest comes off I definitely feel the difference.

What style of Shock Absorber are you wearing? It needs to be high impact; I get the Ultimate Run bra but there are loads of different ones of different impact levels. Saying that though, they seem to be very difficult to get hold of at the moment (I’ve been looking for another one) and I can’t find one under £46 😱😱😱

Good luck with your hunt, hope my experience helps!

Actually I take back what I said in an earlier reply as I’ve just logged in to Bravissimo and they seem to have updated their stock as my size is available in a few, I’ll just have to shut my eyes at the price when I press buy now!

It’s an Active Multi Sports shock absorber and is the best I’ve tried so far. Unfortunately for me I have boobs that don’t suit my frame so they are really obvious and I’ve not really shifted anything off my cup size ..

I’ve spotted a bra on there I’m going to try so watch this space.

Thank you got your help ☺️

Brilliant Whizzy, fab news, I hope it does the job.

I have exactly the same problem so I can totally sympathise with your dilemma. I won’t say my size but think balloons on a stick and you won’t be far off. They are just slightly smaller balloons on a slightly smaller stick these days 😂 It’s been 2 years now and they’ve only very gradually come down, maybe that will happen for you?

All the best to you 👍

I have this one

bravissimo.com/products/wir...

I am a 34H and this seems to do the job!

With Bravissimo, they do an online advice about what size to get in each different style - worth chatting to them! (and getting a couple of different ones to try as well)

It may seem like a lot of money - but it is absolutely worth it!!!

After reading these posts, I’ve ordered one from Bravissimo too! We must compare results! 😘

Hi ladies I lurked on this thread with interest as I have similar issues. I have used Nike sports bras in the past which have done the job but I felt I deserved a little graduation treat so after reading your posts I looked on Bravissimo and ordered a shock absorber. Funnily enough it arrived this morning literally graduation day!! 😜 I’ve bought loads of stuff from bravissimo in the past because their advice and size guidance is always spot on, as they ‘get’ our dilemmas. Not the cheapest but hopefully will be good.

Not what you're looking for?
