First post, but I’ve been lurking since starting the program and I did week6 run1 last night (rough but doable!)
I’m always ravenously hungry after I finish. I cant do morning runs and I like to wait til it’s cool enough in the evening so usually 8pm is running hour. Laura kept telling me to eat a banana, but I’m allergic: any good post-run snack ideas?

Hydration is crucial after so make sure you cover that. Maybe something like peanut butter on bread/toast/crumpet?
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help and includes some advice on diet.
If you already have a good balanced diet then there is no need for anything extra just because you are doing a 40 minute workout.
I guess I should rephrase the question, it’s not really a question of ‘needing’ to refuel, I’m just hungry and I’m wondering if there’s a preferred snack amongst runners other than bananas...!
I have a couple of eggs... usually boiled... they’re basically fat and protein so satisfy the hunger better than carbs. My daughter runs before the evening meal and has a bit of the meat from her dinner as soon as she comes in, so she’s not eating anything extra, just having a little of her protein sooner.
Neither of us have needed to fuel/refuel so far.
I like a full fat natural yoghurt with some seeds and flax and berries
