Good morning Willow and Sola, what you ran/walked this morning is what they call interval training, I am sure you enjoyed it, you took lovely photos as well.
This morning I went a 8 Kilometre walk, enjoyed it, I saw 6 runners and 8 cyclists, speaking of which I will be going a short 15K cycle 🚴 ride after lunch this afternoon, enjoy the rest of the day 😊
I’ve done a rather silly thing though, we are having a party at work on Friday for the people who live at work and I rashly said I’d go up with my sax and play a few old songs.....hmm I better find some music, I was hoping Willow could come with his guitar and sing but sadly we still aren’t able to have visitors
Talking about old songs, this coming Friday which is the 75th anniversary of VE Day Absolute Radio on 1215Kz is playing 1940's music for 24 hours, sounds interesting.
Getting there, it has taken me a while to puck up the courage to head away from my garden...I have lost a little pace... My run today was slower per K than before lockdown..but only a minute or so
Whatever we do we never get faster so we wouldn’t notice losing a little pace, you will get back there, we will all get out and you will meet your family and friends again and run together
Well done SueAppleRun , running everyday is a real commitment, I ran everyday in January and I really enjoyed it, I covered some right mileage too!! You soon get into the habit...but if you’re still working it’s hard to find the time so just run as often as you can and most of all, enjoy it xxx
I remember your January, well until I ended up in hospital with breathing problems on the 15th after that I was very self centred and only really caring about me
Crikey...what was it?? I think I would be thinking of running too!! We must be obsessed?! It sounds like you’ve broken back into it sensibly with these slower paced runs...and slower runs can be that much more enjoyable x
I was never fast and am well back to pre illness speed
It was suspected flu, they checked everything, lungs heart blood etc and couldn’t work out was going on so they called it severe respiratory failure, I had a few days coughing, then a high temperature then was increasingly breathless so Willow took me to the doctor, I was on oxygen and in an ambulance before I could say no thank you but the most odd thing was the next morning I could breathe again so they sent me home, it took a couple more weeks of rest though before I was well enough, Willow had it a week later my daughter and grands too but a much milder version without the night in hospital and apart from possible flu we will never know 😀
It sounds very much like this corona virus don’t you think? I’m so glad that you’re ok and your family too, worrying times?
I’m not fast either, I’ve tried working on my pace but to no avail so I just enjoy whatever pace I’m running at that run, no pressure...there’s enough to worry about and I want my running to take me away from worry xx
We have wondered but it was a bit early and there was a nasty flu doing the rounds which people weren’t dying of
Oh yes running for enjoyment that’s what it’s all about for me, I listen to music look around me call hello to anyone i see and grin a lot, I should think the regular dog walkers in our park think oh yes here comes the running loon again 🤣
It was something I had looked into then I kept reading about injuries. I was persuaded that exercise every day may be better. Don't be put off it you want to do it...it's cool. 😎
We have now been running over a year but not really pushing ourselves since graduation, I toyed with the idea of a half marathon next year but need to be fitter and faster and this may help me get those things, if some of our runs are short and sweet we may be able to keep the every day up but we might just get tired we and tired we and take a few rest days we shall see
