Completed week 6 this morning. Apparently, I’m a runner now. Looking forward to week 7. I’ve found progress is dependent on keeping the pace slow. I’m 61 one now but as a 16 year old could do a lap of the track in 53 seconds. Now I reckon it would take me two or three minutes. But if I ran flat out I’d be lucky to last 30 seconds. Beyond keeping it slow the rest is all in the head. Sometimes, I think it would be easy to stop but you’ve just got to keep going - having music on helps and Michael Johnson of course. I wouldn’t want to let him down.

I always felt the same with Laura - she was so patient with me. Sometimes now when I’m having a “ do I really want to run day??” I listen to Laura and her inane taste in music and it helps motivate me again 🤣🤣
